In November 2015, Division of Education and Training held “City-level Excellent Pre-school Teacher Contest” in order to improve teachers’ awareness, creativity and experience in childcare education as well as to select and replicate advanced models in childcare education.
Each candidate must do two parts, namely theoretical one including multiple choice test and case study and practice one including two activities (optional and random pick).
The School for Pedagogical Practice assigned 6 pre-school teachers to attend the contest. They made their effort to perform two parts successfully. Their theoretical score got 8 points and more and practice part was highly appreciated due to their self-confidence and creativity. As a result, 5 among 6 teachers achieved the title of City-Level Excellent Teachers in the school year 2015 – 2016. It accounted for 83% of the total examination candidates and 23% of the total teachers in the School. Among these, one teacher rewarded Excellent Prince and would compete in the Provincial Level Excellent Teacher for the school year 2016 – 2017.
As a result, 5/6 teachers achieved the title of City-Level Teachers in the school year 2015 - 2016, accounting for 83% of the total number of teachers, 23% of the total number of teachers in the school. Among them, one teacher received the Excellent Prize in the competition and will go on to compete in the provincial best teachers' school in 2016 - 2017.
